Serene vistas and sustainability define this stunning build in Winchelsea, Victoria. "Every morning when we wake up to that breathtaking view, we have to pinch ourselves [to remind us] that this is really where we live," says Marg, who relishes a newfound country life alongside her husband, builder Steve.â â The property, which was largely ideated and constructed by Steve and his company, Wade Builders, features a timeless white-on-white palette, concrete slab floors, a large farmhouse kitchen and - the heart of the home - a CheminĂŠes Philippe fireplace. "We find ourselves not wanting to go anywhere â we just stop and enjoy everything we have here."â â Step inside via the link in bio.â â Photography: @marniehawsonâ Styling: @bellebrightprojectâ Words: @abby__mayâ â #bathroomdesign #laundrydesign #countryhome #concretefloors #freestandingbath
Falling in love with a beautiful sandstone home nestled in a valley in Capertee Valley, NSW, was just the beginning for TV journalist Edwina Bartholomew.â â 42-hectare Warramba, which is rented out as boutique accommodation and for workshops and events, was given some good old TLC in ways sympathetic to the home's original structure - including, most recently, a stunning mineral pool. "...the bones were still wonderful," says Edwina, "so we certainly haven't changed anything on the outside. The only real change was to make the bathroom a bit bigger, and we also had to replace all the floors."â â Step inside via the link in bio.â â Photography: @marniehawson (second image)â Styling: Hannah Bradyâ Words: Tracey Plattâ â #bluemountainsnsw #mineralpool #accommodationnsw #countryaccommodation #holidaystay

Having been on the hunt for a country cottage for nearly two years, Belinda Neame and Tim Bean were passionate about rural life â but on the verge of giving up. That is, until Belinda thought to look in Gunning, where they spotted Hold Cottage online.â â "We went to see it the very next day, pulled up outside and said, 'Yep, it's ours,'" says Belinda.
Instead of totally overhauling their character-filled beach shack in Weymouth, Tasmania, interiors-savvy Di Loone opted to instead build an extension around the original shack, adding a new open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge space that flows onto a large deck overlooking the ocean.â â Complemented by a relaxed decorating style and with a backing soundtrack that only a coastal location such as this can afford, it's the perfect place to drop anchor and just be. "It feels like a very long way from civilisation," says Di.â â Take a tour via the link in bio.â â Photography: @marniehawsonâ Styling: @ecoco.com.auâ Words: @penny.carrollâ â #beachhouse #coastalhome #weatherboardhome #whiteexterior #beachshack
â Aptly named after the Roman goddess of harvest and abundance, and renowned for its cultural significance, Ceres Homestead is a historic property in Central Victoria that was once the holiday home for Queen Victoria's son, the Duke of Edinburgh. â â Acquiring Ceres in 2008, the Charles family fell in love with the property, which took them on a 14-year-long restoration of this significant piece of architectural history. Now, the majestic house and gardens have returned to their former glory, offering a perfect setting for bespoke events, workshops, or weddings with a Jane Austen-esque garden party ambience. â â Alongside offerings of the luxury spaces at Ceres Homestead, you can now find a selection of curated homewares and antiques online. From Australian-made woollen blankets to European linen tea towels, bring a touch of Ceresâ charm and classic style into your own abode. â â Head to the link in our bio to explore the full homewares and antique collection. â â #countryhomestead #beautifulhomes #weddingvenue â

Our inaugural Legends of the Land awards (whose winners were announced in our September issue) were designed to celebrate true country heroes in four categories.â â Winning the 'regional hospitality', @berrimavaulthouse has introduced a brand new venture to the quiet, historic, and all-around beautiful village of Berrima in the NSW Southern Highlands. Combining accommodation, hospitality and co-working spaces in a stunning original 1844 building, the team behind this project has certainly added yet another string to the region's bow.â â "We're a venue enjoyed by locals from across the Highlands, as well as other country areas, and Sydney and Canberra residents who call BVH their 'home away from home,'" says Jon Leighton OAM, who co-owns BVH with business partners Si Philby and Oliver Peagam.
