Classic, pared-back and traditional, or full of character, colour and joy; we love a good hallway, and this old converted bank in the regional town of Hay has some of the most beautiful.⁠ ⁠ Paying homage to the home's original details was of high priority for owner Sheila, to whom the building is something of a family heirloom; a fact which she wished to both honour and depart from. "It was important to us to make the house feel like ours and not the house I grew up in," Sheila, 37, explains.
