@younggoth is a budding LGBTQ+ film and television star who has already appeared in a variety of our favorite queer stories in the last decade on both the big and small screen. While he's probably most known for portraying Alex Standall in the Netflix series "13 Reasons Why," Heizer also played a part in "Parenthood" and "Love, Simon." With a good track record intact, Heizer will be expanding his portfolio. Not much is known about the drama yet, but Heizer will be playing a character who goes into the military in response to his revelation that he's gay. We thought now would be a perfect time to celebrate the queerness and diversity of the @wnba. Some of these players have been around for years, while others are a little newer to the scene. One thing they all have in common though is that they are a great inspiration to the young girls at home who want to play basketball for a living and continue to live freely and openly no matter their sexuality. In a world where openly gay Hollywood stars still often struggle to carve out a place in a sometimes homophobic industry, Canadian-American actor Luke Macfarlane has become one of the more recognizable faces on TV, and most recently for the gay romcom "Bros." Known for shows such as "Brothers & Sisters" and the popular science-fiction series "Killjoys", Macfarlane is like a reliable hammer in a toolbox: you always know you'll get a great performance no matter how he's used in these shows. We also can't complain about his rugged, yet classy style and handsome looks. We'll let you get to know Macfarlane a little better by recounting his best Instagram posts, from appearances on the red carpet to time at home practicing his hobbies such as carpentry. Fans of the TV Show "Below Deck" are getting to know one of its stars a lot more intimately. Recently the gay adult studio Raging Studio released "its first-ever scene with Bravo reality star Lobo Carreira — someone who you may know as Bruno (Bruno Duarte Vincent) from the fifth season of 'Below Deck.'"writes the adult gay reporting website The Sword. "Bruno is an openly gay man and some of the struggles he's had with his sexuality were documented on the show. In 2017, Bruno got engaged to his partner, Joseph, and they were both overjoyed. Although the two appear to still be together, they have not yet tied the knot," reported the website tvovermind two years ago. This isn't Bruno's adult gay film debut. Previously he made a scene for Colt with his partner Jose (Joseph) in 2020. "I am a huge fan of "Below Deck" and a friend of mine was on the show as a guest and on that episode, I saw Bruno in his red, starred swim suit where he has to be a table decoration during a 'Naked Sushi' dinner," Colt director and owner John Rutherford said in a release. The scene is pretty infamous at this point. "I had written him on [Instagram] telling him I was a big fan and thought he looked great. We stayed in touch and because Bruno and Jose live in the South of France, so we met up in Paris and decided to do a photo shoot and video with them both. We wanted it to be erotic and intimate.... The rest is history, as they say." Tap link in bio for more on @EDGEmedianetwork ???? ?: @belowdeckbruno

Is Aaron Taylor-Johnson bulking up to be the next James Bond? The Daily Mail reports that "the 'Kick-Ass' actor, 32, appears to be bulking up to become the next James Bond as he has physically transformed from wiry youth to hench hunk." In addition, footage from the forthcoming Marvel film "Kraven The Hunter" screened recently at Cinema Con in Las Vegas showed the British actor, who plays the title character, spending most of the movie shirtless. Or is he bulking up for his role as spokesperson for Calvin Klein underwear, which set the Internet ablaze for his pics and videos for the brand? His friend Jamie Dornan, who was the face of Calvin Klein pants himself back in 2014, joked: "You really should have got yourself in better shape for this. Did you forget about it or something?" The long process for replacing Daniel Craig as James Bond has seen such actors as Henry Golding. Henry Cavill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Regé-Jean Page, Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender, Dev Patel, Riz Ahmed, Sam Claflin, Nicholas Hoult, Idris Elba, Luke Evans, Charlie Hunnam, Paul Mescal, Taron Egerton, and Richard Madden mentioned as possibilities. But it is Taylor-Johnson who is said to have gone to the top of the list after Aaron reportedly had a secret audition and remains the most-voted star for the role, writes the Daily Mail. Want to get fit but can't get motivated? Intimidated by gym bunnies and have zero confidence about a wellness routine? Out personal trainer Matt Boyles has worked through all these same issues and created a program — geared specifically for gay and trans men — to make fitness fun, erase self-imposed limitations, and discover new confidence. Boyles has distilled the principles behind his fitness coaching philosophy into a breezy, humorous book, "Fitter Confident Youniverse: An LGBTQ+ Guide to Wellbeing on Our Terms." He talks about overcoming the barriers that gay men face when it comes to embracing health and wellness, future-proofing one's body to enable more graceful aging, the basic reasons why most fitness routines crash and burn. The key is to make fitness fun — and Boyles explains how to take something that many of us might have found to be miserable, boring, or a source of shame, and turn it into a source of personal empowerment. Here's a big hint: It's not really about losing weight or achieving a sculpted look that few of us have the time or genetics to achieve. Rather, it's about learning to validate, and value, ourselves in a world that's all too eager to devalue, dehumanize, and marginalize us. Much like "American Horror Story: New York City," in which he stars, Matthew William Bishop appears dark and intimidating. The actor has a dramatic presence. He stands at 6'1" and weighs 240 pounds. His arms are the size of thick beef flanks, and his chest is as wide as the grill of a semi-truck. Everything about him spells primal cut, but when he smiles all that menacing character melts away allowing the gentleness of his spirit to shine through. Before he was discovered by producer Ryan Murphy, Bishop was a corporate bee, working as vice president at Edelman, a public relations firm in New York City, according to his website's biography. He didn't just pump up for Hollywood, the massive star was also a competitive body builder. He was cast in the role of Big Daddy in "AHS" after someone passed on his information to Murphy himself. Bishop's biggest muscle might be his heart. As a philanthropist, he gives back to the community by giving to various LGBTQ causes. One of those is Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Whether or not he is now one of the many stars Murphy uses in his horror anthology series remains to be seen. The FX Network plans on the show for two more seasons, so it's definitely not off the table. For now, you can keep up with this gentle giant on his Instagram page where he constantly uploads pictures and life updates. We have gone through and selected some of those posts for your enjoyment and to celebrate this real-life incredible hulk as he makes his way to superstardom. NSYNC may have been famous, but they weren't wealthy, says band member Lance Bass, according to a report in People Magazine. "During an appearance on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show, Bass revealed that he made "way more" money after the group disbanded. "The worst thing was people thinking we were rich because we were not," Bass, 43, said. "We were famous but we were not rich. I made way more money after *NSYNC than I did during *NSYNC." He added of the band's former manager, "Lou [Pearlman] really took the majority of all of our stuff. And the record label too. Horrible deals." People writes that "Pearlman — who died in prison in 2016 at age 62 — created the band and was notorious for a $300 million Ponzi scheme when he mishandled the group's finances and was later sued by several members of different boy bands, including the Backstreet Boys. He was convicted of fraud in 2008." On a 2021 appearance on People's Every Day podcast, Bass opened up about how his personal experience with finances in the boy band influenced his business practices. "I definitely went through a hard lesson at a young age of getting taken advantage of by our business manager," Bass said at the time. "You're not thinking business when you're starting at 16. You're thinking, 'I'm going to have fun. I'm going to make music and tour the world.'" Tap link in bio for more on @EDGEmedianetwork ???? ?: @lancebass
"Let me just start by saying nobody was more surprised than me that people wanted to see me naked at 50 years old," adult content creator Lance Charger says. "So it definitely caught me by surprise." He is talking about his rise to fame as a porn star. Charger (his stage name) was recently featured on the WOW Presents Plus short docuseries "Click Boys," in which many of his peers in the adult entertainment industry tell the stories behind their success. In an industry that is still considered taboo, it grows at an exponential rate every year. So far in 2023, it has raked in over $1 billion. So what is the problem? There really isn't one except that if you decide to go into the business where you could make yourself rich overnight, there is a stigma — a fierce and insidious one that can make its way into the spirit of the performer. Not only is there prejudice about the work, but in a business where the talent is predominantly young, ageism is an obstacle as well. Charger is a strapping gentleman. His poise is as astute as his posture. His grey hair and beard are perfectly manicured as if he just stepped out of the barber's chair. For this interview, he was conservatively dressed and wore dark glasses that enriched his already studious demeanor. He is polite and well-spoken with an intellect underscored only by his easygoing approachability. If you were to meet him on the street, you wouldn't suspect that his alter-ego is a retired viral porn star. Behind the screen, Charger is now a corporate businessman, and happy doing it. He put his porn character to bed for good after he got hired. Tap link in bio for more on @EDGEmedianetwork ???? ?: @chargerlance
Queer singer Mathew V. looks to carve himself some space in world of jazz. It is something of a brave move – jazz is a music genre not known for queer representation. And he is doing so by going back to the Great American Songbook– the term given the songs written during the 20th century that defined pop music for decades. Don't expect any gender-reversals in the lyrics. Take "The Man I Love," the classic George and Ira Gershwin song which Mathew V. covers on hiw new release "Anything Goes." With him singing the lyric as written nearly a century ago, he gives it an appropriate 21st century gloss. The Canadian-born singer emigrated from Vancouver to London when he was 17. Upon his return to Canada, he signed with 604 Records in 2017. That year he released the single "Tell Me Smooth," a preview of his 2018 full-length album "The Fifth." The song spent 14 weeks on the Canadian hot adult contemporary radio charts in Billboard. Since then, Mathew V. has become a sought-after topliner in the dance world, and now debuts in the vocal jazz world with his tasteful representation of the Great American Songbook. EDGE spoke to Mathew V. about being an openly queer artist, his passion for music, and bringing generations together with the Great American Songbook.
