Two sisters have created a whimsical beach #cottage on the rugged south Australian coast in #MarionBay. Welcome to a sixth generation family #farmhouse #cottage in Nowhere Creek, VIC. Jack and Kirby Kaye had been dating for about two weeks when Jack said, “I need you to come home and see the farm and if you can’t live there then there’s no relationship.” ⁠ ⁠ Luckily when Kirby finally saw the farm, she fell in love. “It was beautiful straight away,” she says. ⁠ ⁠ Today, Jack and Kirby call the farm home and have undertaken a slow and steady #renovation of their historic cottage. The claw-foot bath next to an open fireplace at @thefarmerscottage is the height of luxury. But just a few years ago, this cottage had almost completely succumbed to the forces of nature. Current owner Abby McKibben says when she first inspected the place, “Grass was growing up through the floorboards and there were four possums living in the roof.” While anyone else might be tempted to let nature take its course, Abby and her husband Josh were taken by the views and, of course, that convict-built brick fireplace in the bathroom.
