The Mr. Gay World USA Organization posted on Facebook today that Tony Ardolino is in Capetown, South Africa "doing a fine job representing the USA in the Mr. Gay World 2022 contest." He was named Mr. Gay World USA and is in the running to be named the international Mr. Gay World. "Tony brings the magic wherever he goes and we expect his competing will break the USA drought of never having won the international contest," the post continues. "History in the making. 15% of his score is the public vote, so once voting opens we will need your full support. Let's make History together. We love and appreciate you Tony. Be brave, be bold be beautiful, be You. Go USA!!!" In an interview with the website Out in Jersey, Ardolino about what it was like growing up gay in New Jersey. "I felt like 'Beauty and the Beast,' like Belle walking through the village. I was so different. I felt like the kids were singing, 'Look there he goes, that guy is gay, no question.' I didn't have a lot of friends. I got bullied relentlessly. There were Facebook pages about how I was gay and useless, horrible things. I didn't have school to back me up, just my parents. My parents are my go to. I just kept on saying, "This will push me to be the best I can be." But Ardolino didn't see being gay as a liability. "I didn't view it as a weakness. I viewed it as something that would make me stronger. I wanted to show the world what I could do. I had so many goals, dreams to fulfill, and I didn't want anything to get in the way. Mexico's largest state approved same-sex marriage Tuesday, leaving only three of the country's 32 states without such laws. The State of Mexico, which almost surrounds Mexico City, has the largest population of any state in the country. Its legislature voted to recognize same-sex marriages and same-sex common-law marriages, becoming the 29th state to do so. That leaves only the northern border state of Tamaulipas, the Gulf coast state of Tabasco and the southern state of Guerrero without such laws. Tabasco is the home state of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, but he has shown little appetite to push such legislation. "Today, by becoming the 29th state to approve equal marriage, we will be reducing inequality, and letting the country know that in the State of Mexico we do not leave anybody behind," said state legislator Paola Jiménez. It's been seven years since Frank Ocean has graced us with a new album — but fans might be in luck. The out singer released his critically loved album "Blonde" back in 2016 — along with the experimental "Endless" — but has mostly been absent since. In the last few years, he's shared one-off singles, including "DHL" and "In My Room." In 2020 he dropped "Dear April" and "Cayendo." Fans are in a frenzy this week, however, because Ocean cleared out his Instagram, scrubbing all of the posts except for his profile pic — a sign usually meaning that a pop star is ready to launch a new era with new music. Billboard noted that a new album would be perfect timing for Ocean's upcoming Coachella-headlining gig next year. He was supposed to headline the music festival in 2020 but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The "Pyramids" singer was in the headlines earlier this year when his legacy brand Homer released a new collection of accessories, including a diamond-encrusted 18-karat gold cock ring that costs over $25,000. @zacefron is addressing questions about his changing appearance over the years in a new wide-ranging interview with Men's Health. According to him, even his own mother questioned how much his appearance has changed at one point after he appeared in a clip with Bill Nye in promotion for Earth Day last year. His jaw looked noticeably swollen, leading many to assume he had work done. But according to Efron, the swollen face was the result of shattering his jaw while waltzing around his mansion and falling. He reportedly lost consciousness and when he came to "his chin bone was hanging off his face." After undergoing physical therapy, his jaw began to overcompensate and "the masseters just grew," Efron said. "They just got really, really big." He also opened up about the unhealthy effect his bulky "Baywatch" body had on his mental health. "That Baywatch look, I don't know if that's really attainable," he said. The look "required Lasix" and "powerful diuretics" to achieve, on top of grueling training. "I started to develop insomnia and I fell into a pretty bad depression, for a long time," Efron shared. "Something about that experience burned me out. I had a really hard time re-centering. Ultimately they chalked it up to taking way too many diuretics for way too long, and it messed something up." After filming the movie, he took six months to recenter himself and rethink his health priorities about what it means to be fit. Tap for more on @EDGEmedianetwork ???? ?: @zacefron
His name is Sandro Farmhouaw and he's an out, tatted and bearded, 30-year old nanny living in London. He's also the break-out star of 2022 edition of Netflix's "The Great British Bake Off."And is in a relationship, having introduced his boyfriend in one episode. It didn't take long for fans to call him "cake daddy" and "the great British baking snack." While one fan wrote they "can't wait for Bred Week" — with intentional misspelling. On the show's website, he is described as being born in Angola, but came to London to feel the war in his country with his mother. He made an impression on the show's opening episode by showing off his fitness routine. Trained in boxing and ballet, he says he turned to baking as a form of therapy after his dad died when he was 21. "Now, he lives and breathes it, and is often found rustling up bakes in a relaxed vibe with the telly on, or running virtual baking classes for children with autism." Working with children is important for Farmhouse, whose name suggests a vision of bucolic country residence. Working with the group Social Ark, prompted Sandro to create baking and cake decorating workshops for autistic children. "Social Ark has introduced me to real community leadership. I am passionate about creative baking and supporting children and young people with special needs to flourish. I'm full of aspirations and really looking forward to the future, being part of Social Ark and wherever my baking journey takes me." A footballer coming out to his teammates is rare in the sport. Even more rare is the moment being caught on video, but that's exactly what has happened for Adelaide United star Josh Cavallo. As reported by the Mirror, Cavallo became the world's only openly gay active top-flight player last October when he came out in an emotional video statement posted on his social media channels. As it turns out, that video was taken a mere moments after he came out to his fellow teammates in the team's locker room, and it was caught on video. The footage shows an emotional Cavallo making an announcement to his team and being embraced by his teammates. The moment was reportedly captured on video as part of an upcoming documentary on the team made by the the Australian A-League. Cavallo's coming out is just one of a handful of moments captured for the documentary. "For all my life growing up, I've learned to live a life of lies, you know. For the last six years, I've been struggling with my sexuality. So today, I'll be coming out to the public that I'm gay, I'm a gay footballer," Cavallo told his team. While most people slowed down during the pandemic, Jake Lacy's schedule accelerated. It began with filming "The White Lotus" for HBO, where his portrayal of an entitled newlywed dissatisfied with his honeymoon hotel room earned Lacy his first Emmy nomination. "Since 'White Lotus,' I feel like I haven't stopped moving. If I'm home between now and New Year's, that'll be the longest we've been in one place in two plus years," said Lacy, 38, over Zoom from his home in Connecticut. But he's also quick to note his good fortune because "My love for this work fires every one of my cylinders. When it's good, it's good. There's just nothing better for me (besides) my family and this work. Maybe reading books. That's it." Lacy has been recognizable for more than a decade, popping up, for instance, on the final season of "The Office" as Pete, a new salesman at Dunder Mifflin, or as a suitor for Rooney Mara in "Carol." There was also a recurring role as Lena Dunham's good-guy boyfriend, Fran, in HBO's "Girls." Although he was "working consistently," Lacy said doubt about that next job would creep in. "I felt like, 'I don't know how I'm going to have two kids and buy a house and do this, like it just might not happen'... then a job would come along and buoy me long enough to not feel that way anymore." When "White Lotus" began production, Lacy said the set was energized by having cameras roll again. "I think because of the pandemic, none of us had filmed in a year or eight months at best. There was a real enthusiasm and kind of gnawing excitement to be like, 'Get me out there, let's do this." Tap link in bio for more on @EDGEmedianetwork ????
