For Heather Hickson, a lack of available holiday homes was more than reason enough to invest in her very own, in the scenic village of Witta 10 minutes' drive north of Maleny. While she fell in love with this charming fixer-upper, her husband Garry wasn't so easily convinced. Out Welsh actor Luke Evans says that Daniel Craig's take on James Bond matured the film franchise away from treating women as sex objects, and praised the move toward story over one night stands. Embracing this 30s Californian bungalow in Ballarat also meant embracing a more 'city' way of living for Kirby and her family; husband Jack, three young boys and one girl, who previously lived in Nowhere Creek. Things mundane to some, like traffic lights and food delivery, were great sources of excitement for the clan, but for Kirby that same thrill came from updating their new home.
