Locke gave voice to his dream during an interview with UK newspaper the Independent, which noted that "Heartstopper" โ about a high school romance between an openly gay teen and a popular athlete just starting to figure out his sexuality โ has "been dubbed the 'anti-Euphoria,' swapping drugs and sex for milkshakes and snow angels." Locke addressed this aspect of the series, telling the Independent that "Our story is not so based on sex, because our characters are turning 15 and 16 in the series, so it's more about relationships and love." Viewers have responded, making the show a breakout hit from day one and making Locke (and the rest of the cast) stars. As People Magazine noted, "Since premiering last month on Netflix, 'Heartstopper' has held a rare 100 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes." Locke put his finger on why. "It shows the really nice things about being queer," he told the newspaper. "I think a lot of queer people growing up feel like they don't deserve love, because they don't have access to the same dating pool or support as straight people do. And so 'Heartstopper' is so lovely in that it gives that to queer characters." People Magazine, reporting on the story, zeroed in on one of Locke's most intriguing comments. Little doubt remains about what the Supreme Court plans to do with Roe v. Wade. There's a handsome new face on the fifth season of "Elite," the hit Netflix series from Spain that follows three students who attend a top preparatory school attended by the country's elite. The series has developed LGBTQ+ storylines, exploring how different coming out can be from individuals from different social and economic backgrounds. Arriving at the school, La Encina, is Brazilian actor Andrรฉ Lamoglia (@andrelamoglia) who plays Ivรกn, the son of a popular football star with some secrets of his own. "Ivรกn quickly grows close to Patrick (Manu Rios) but, in spite of their chemistry, he insists that he's straight. Meanwhile, he also has a thing for Patrick's sister Ari (Carla Dรญaz)," reported the website Pop Buzz. But after some longing glances in the shower, Ivรกn admits to being attracted to Patrick and they have an intimate scene together that Lamoglia discussed with the Spanish website Hugo Gloss. Before shooting the steamy scene, Lamoglia admitted he was nervous. "It was much more relaxed than I imagined. We have a whole preparation for that. At the time of these scenes, the team is all reduced on the set, at that moment there are only those that need to be there." He added that he didn't remove all his clothes in front of the cameras. "I'll leave it to your imagination! (laughs) Just kidding. It was the first time I had do some kind of scene with a little more intimacy. I didn't do any scenes completely naked, because as much as it was a sex scene, or something more intimate, we had protection, a sex cover. They call it a thong here. The Human Rights Campaign (@humanrightscampaign) rolled out a new billboard campaign last week in Tampa, Tallahassee, and Orlando, condemning Florida's "Don't Say Gay" law. As reported by The Hill, a total of seven billboards have gone live that welcome people to Florida "The Sunshine 'Don't Say Gay or Trans' State." HRC said in a news release that more billboards are scheduled to go up in South Florida over the next few days. "Florida's 'Don't Say Gay or Trans' law is outrageous and discriminatory. It needs to be repealed immediately," HRC Interim President Joni Madison said in a statement. "This billboard campaign is designed to make people confront what this terrible law really does: censor and silence educators and isolate LGBTQ+ students and their families."
