In the early 90s when rose growers Sus and Derek Bush purchased Old Bogalara, there was little more to it than empty, sprawling fields and a scant tin shack – but they had their hearts set. Uprooting their family, business and some 5000 rose plants, the pair made the move from Bowning to Bookham. And today, the once empty fields are full of flowering blooms, and the tin shed has expanded significantly to become a fully-fledged home complete with herringbone flooring and picture windows.
