For Heather Hickson, a lack of available holiday homes was more than reason enough to invest in her very own, in the scenic village of Witta 10 minutes' drive north of Maleny.⁠ ⁠ While she fell in love with this charming fixer-upper, her husband Garry wasn't so easily convinced. "Thanks to various add-ons over the years, the house was like a rabbit warren; a mix of small spaces and dark hallways," Heather concedes.
